To cap off a day full of public engagements, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. (PBBM) celebrated his 66th birthday at the Kalayaan Hall of Malacañang Palace on September 12, 2023. Held a day earlier than his actual birthday, the private event was attended by PBBM's family, friends, senators, congressmen, and other public servants.
Earlier that day, PBBM was at the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Central Office in Quezon City for the presentation of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 11953 or the New Agrarian Emancipation Act of 2023.
On his birthday, September 13, President Marcos attended the Milken Institute's 10th Annual Asia Summit in Singapore. Upon the invitation of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, the president will also watch the F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2023 this Sunday.
PBBM's son, Congressman Sandro Marcos of the 1st District of Ilocos Norte, said in a Faceboook post: "Happy happy birthday pop! I know and have seen how having the weight of the country on your shoulders has proven to be extremely stressful, but I will always be of the belief that I can't think of anyone better than you to handle the problems we face."
