From its creation in 1939, Quezon City has played a major role in the country’s political, economic, and cultural history. It is home to the Lower House of Congress and various government agencies, as well as major media and educational institutions. It is also known for its bustling commercial and recreational centers which make it a major destination for local and foreign tourists visiting Metro Manila.
Quezon City’s leaders continue to provide their constituents exemplary service reflective of the values held high by former President Manuel Quezon, after whom the city was named, including statesmanship and love of country.
We join the nation in marking the 144th birth anniversary of President Manuel Quezon, and Q Citizens in marking the 83rd founding anniversary of Quezon City!
